posimente and our training partners Mind Over Matter combine the power of Lived Experience with Clinical Mental Health training so that your workplace or education space is covered from both angles. 

This allows you to both be inspired which helps create change, impact, understanding and education which allows you to have the confidence you can support those around you.

What is Youth Mental First Aid?

About 75% of mental health difficulties emerge before the age of 25 and 14% of 4 – 17-year old’s experience mental health difficulties at some point. This means that over the course of their career, teachers and school leaders are very likely to be supporting young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach participants mental health first aid strategies to support young people, in a 2-day fully accredited workshop.

Mental health first aid is the help provided to a student who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves.

What is Youth Mental First Aid?

This program has been well evaluated and found to be effective in improving mental health literacy, reducing stigma and increasing helping behaviors.

YMHFA is an evidence-based training course, authored by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia.
